Tell me a time when you realized your small business was doing well. I'll go first. Okay, so I was working at KPMG and I was an accountant and I hated my job. But, you know, coming from an Indian background, I always worked really hard and I always stayed late and I did all the stuff that they wanted me to do.
And one day my manager came up in front of everyone and started going off about how much I hadn't achieved for this one client, how much more he had done when he was my age and all this sort of stuff. I went to the bathroom and I cried. So I quit all my corporate stuff and I started a business. And a year later I got an order for $200 and it was my manager.
And he went on to purchase four more times and I couldn't help myself. I hand wrote him a personalized thank you card and said thank you for being a loyal customer with my full name and I also wrote ex-KPMG. I love business.
