Anaita reacts to a viral creator with millions of followers crying about a competitor launching a similar skincare line, arguing that large influencers will sell out regardless due to their existing audience. She stresses that small business owners don't have that luxury and must master every channel, including ads, SEO, email flows, brand ambassadors, and retention, because product and marketing both need to be excellent.

  1. Don't take cues from influencers with millions of followers, they can sell out on audience alone regardless of competition

  2. As a small business you must master every channel: Facebook ads, Google ads, SEO, email flows, brand ambassadors, loyalty and retention

  3. Having one competitor in your space is normal, not a threat, focus on your own execution instead

bawling my eyes out I'm gonna start crying again and it's amazing I would like to chat to you about this so Cat Clark who is the creator of that video that we just saw has millions of followers and she's also won TikTok Award she's one of the most well known tiktokers in Australia and the world she's crying because she's starting a skincare line and she is worried because Anna Paul who is another TikTok creator that we all know and love is also or has also started a skincare I can't figure out if she is genuinely upset that she has one major competitor which that is not the case at all there is there are multiple competitors but I'm not sure if she's upset about that or she's upset because it almost acts like a hook to her video and almost acts like kind of like a victim play um in no offence but just I feels like a little bit of victim play where she can get people to really buy her stuff cause they feel bad regardless of what the play is here and and how she's feeling I think it's a real punch in the gut to other small businesses that are trying to get into say for example the skincare space or any space or start any business if someone with millions of followers is getting upset because there is one competitor who's also doing something similar to her then how are we to feel as small business owners in fact she'll probably make up the cost of production within a few minutes of launch this is my prediction the skincare lines for both Anna and Kat will be amazing especially in the first year but launches are just one piece of the puzzle if cat wants to succeed she's going to need to master all of those eggs in all of the baskets including her Facebook ads her Google ads her SEO her email flows her brand ambassadors her loyalty programs her retention if you are someone who is about to start a business and then you see Cat Clark crying about a business that she's about to launch ignore it she will make sales regardless of how good or bad her skincare line is we don't have that luxury or that privilege as small business owners we have to make sure that our product is good and that our marketing is even better I am feeling a little annoyed that she's feeling upset that someone else has started a skincare line I'd love to know what you guys think
